EPHA - Coach & Manager Policy
The
EPHA attempts to find unpaid non-parent head coaches for all our teams
above the Mite level. This goal is virtually unattainable as well as
needing assistant coaches for these levels as well as 100% parent
coaches for the Mite Program. (A full explanation of the EPHA coaching
policy can be found in the
EPHA Policy & Procedures Document.)
All coaches must meet the following requirements
established by USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey.

A background check form must be
completed and submitted every year.
- A current and valid Coaches Education Certification Card must be
on file with the EPHA Registrar.
Coach's & Manager's Background Check
Coaches and Managers
should complete the Background
Check Form and return it to the Registrar
as soon as possible by placing it in the Registrar’s mailbox or mailing

Level 1 = Initiation, Level 2 = Associate, Level 3 = Intermediate
Your card must have been issued in 2005-06 or later
to be valid. If it was issued in 2004-05 or prior you must attend a
coaching clinic to refresh. Level 4 cards never expire. The EPHA will
reimburse you for the cost of the clinics. Coaching clinics can be
found by going to the www.USAhockey.com website and clicking on the coach
button. Level 3 coaches can re-certify online at
www.USAhockey.com using
the Flexxcoach option.
