14U A Black defeated Hopkins 5 - 1 at EP Rink 1 on Wednesday. Neither team managed to get the puck in the net in the first period. 14U A Black added three goals in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. In the third period, 14U A Black outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead to win the game.

This was the first game of the season for Hopkins but 14U A Black entered the game with a record of 13-3.
