For those with a passion for hockey, a commitment to youth development, or simply a desire to give back, joining the EPHA Board offers a unique and rewarding opportunity. The EPHA Board—a cornerstone of organization, leadership, and vision—relies on the talents, energy, and perspectives of dedicated volunteers. Whether your interests lie in the administrative realm or you prefer to immerse yourself in the hockey side of operations, there is a place for you within our diverse team.
At its core, the EPHA Board is more than a leadership body; it is a community of champions working behind the scenes to ensure the success of the association and, most importantly, the enrichment of every player, coach, and family involved. Volunteers shape the organization’s culture, set its strategic direction, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
One of the unique strengths of EPHA is the breadth of opportunities available. With 15 official Board roles, you don’t have to be a hockey expert to make a meaningful contribution. The Board includes both administrative and hockey-related positions, ensuring that a wide range of skills and interests can be put to good use.
No matter where your strengths lie, there is a position that can benefit from your expertise and enthusiasm.
Volunteering for the EPHA Board is not just about filling a seat or checking a box. It’s about joining a movement, making a difference, and reaping rewards that go far beyond the rink or meeting room.
Every decision made by the board—big or small—shapes the experience of players, parents, coaches, and fans. When you volunteer, you have a direct hand in creating policies, organizing events, and developing programs that enrich the lives of young athletes and foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
In addition, at the end of a full, three-year term your volunteer hours (DIBS) will be covered for the remainder of your time in the Association.
Most importantly, a strong association is a reflection of a strong community. When you volunteer for the EPHA Board, you become an ambassador for positive change—helping to build a community that values inclusivity, health, and mutual support. By volunteering, you help ensure that EPHA continues to provide exceptional opportunities for youth development, foster community pride, and uphold the values that have made our association strong for generations. The rewards—personal and collective—are immeasurable.

Board meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at the Eden Prairie Community Center at 6:00pm.
There are 15 positions on the EPHA board. Each carries a three year term. Each year there are board members rolling off the board. This is to ensure that, ideally, the full board turns over to new representation every three years.
