Termites is a program developed for girls and boys ages 4-6, who are looking to expand their preschool hockey experience. The program and expectations are for those ready for a step up from Rookie Camp but are not quite at the Mite1/8U1 Level.

Program

Termites have 8 on-ice practices plus a final “game” day. Practices are station based and led by parent volunteer coaches. Focus will be on skating, basic skill development, understanding of the game and, most important, having fun and developing a love of hockey!

40 spots are available. 

*Session 2 Registration will open in early November.

Coaches

In addition to this being an opportunity for the kids, it's a chance for parents to begin their EPHA coaching career!  Similar to our Mite/8U program, Termites is coached by parent volunteers. Practice plans are provided and no certification is required. We will need 2 Head Coaches and 3-5 Assistant Coaches to lead practices and coach the final game day.  If anyone is interested in being a team manager to help with communication, please let me know as well.

Location

Practices will be at the Eden Prairie Community Center.  We will end the season with a Termite “Game” on Rink 1 at EPCC (where the high school games are held)!

Schedule

All Termite practices will generally be once a week, either Saturday or Sunday and will run beginning of November through beginning of December.  

Cost

$125 per player
